This magic was felt by thousands the first time the Circle of Sound played in a large public setting. In collaboration with the City of Seattle for its ceremony on 9/11/2002, a Circle of Sound composed of 21 crystal bowls and 21 didgeridoos played for three hours at the International Fountain of Seattle Center, with the intention of healing all the grief, pain, and sorrow around this tragedy. Many people reported that the sound did indeed help them to find balance, a peace about their grief.

The result of this gathering was a realization of the power of this sound and its potential benefit for many people and places. From this realization comes our commitment to "share the sound" with as many people and places as possible all over the planet. We would love to have you join us!

The Circle of Sound is a non-profit charitable organization, an associate of Allied Arts Foundation of Seattle, Washington. All donations are tax deductible. The Circle of Sound does not promote nor encourage any particular religion, belief system, philosophy, political party, governmental system, or theology. All are recognized as part of the Whole, while none are recognized as proprietors of the concept of Peace on Earth, Goodwill for all.

The size of the Circle of Sound varies to suit the occasion, from one set (of seven chakra-tuned crystal bowls) to three sets (or more if needed/possible) and a similar number of didgeridoos. The human voice is always an integral part of each Circle.

How the Circle of Sound Works

When the Circle of Sound is formed in the round, and the instruments are played toward the center, a sound wave is generated composing a "full spectrum" of frequencies. This is created due to the harmonics produced when the crystal bowls and didgeridoos and other instruments playing together. This "full spectrum" of frequencies is the basis of the balancing potential of the Circle of Sound. The structural circle formed by the instruments and players provides the container from which the sound is generated. When people enter the circle with a particular intention, prayer, focus or dream, they are in a balanced environment conducive to the realization/manifestation of their request. Those areas and/or sacred sites enclosed by the circle are offered this "full spectrum" of frequencies in order to be balanced, healed, activated, harmonizeded as needed. The group intention of the Circle of Sound will always be Peace on Earth, Goodwill for all. The Circle of Sound opens a vortex of energy, which allows people, especially children, to go to a unique space. The sound leads to a zone of balance, comfort, centering, silence, emptying and filling at the same time. The sound is a universal language, requiring no dogma or language interpretation. When sitting inside the Circle the experience is one of a vibrating frequency immersion thereby allowing the dissolution of any and all barriers.

Visions for the Circle of Sound

The potential benefits from Circle of Sound events has no limits. When played in individual settings, numerous healings have been reported from people who have participated. Such reports include removal of energy blockages that have persisted for years, the end of deep grief from traumatic experiences, and healing of emotional separations. Relaxation and a balanced feeling is a common result.

When played in group settings, as in Peace Prayer and Harmonization Ceremonies, the peace and harmony that is felt is often beyond words. The combination of the power of these sounds and the power of united thought has a potential we are just beginning to realize. Having now participated in several world-wide Harmonization Ceremonies and experienced the results and responses, we are committed to continuing to promote and facilitate such ceremonies happening in as many places as possible.

That is one vision of Circle of Sound: to unite as many circles and people as possible when such a "Global Harmonization Ceremony" is planned. We intend to have one on each Equinox synchronized on the hour so that we will all be sounding our vibrations on Mother Earth together. Other ceremonies around the Solstices and other special dates will be scheduled also. We know that when so many of us come together and focus on the same ideas and intentions, especially when the power of our group consciousness is amplified by the power of these sounds, that we definitely have an impact on the planetary ocean of consciousness.

All profits from sales of our products and all donations received go towards the purchase of more sets of crystal bowls and the promotion of the Global Harmonization Ceremonies.

The are many particular powerful and sacred sites around the world where we intend to have a Circle of Sound ceremony, with the intention of harmonizing and balancing the energies of these spots, or activating energetic portals, or releasing energetic blockages, or establishing lines of communication with other beings. Other potential Circle of Sound ceremony sites are the United Nations in New York; Temple of Goodwill in Brasilia, Brasil; Baghdad, Iraq; Ululu (Great Ayre Stone) in Australia; University of Peace in Costa, Rica; gatherings of elders; special sites on special dates.

Another project recently initiated by Circle of Sound is the "Global Crystallization Project"  which involves establishing a Web of Light with crystals of specific frequencies being planted all around the planet, in the lands and the waters. Every one is encouraged to join and participate in this also.


Power of Sound

It is said, "In the beginning was the Word." Quite likely this "Word" was a sound, a vibration, or a frequency. And behind this sound was an idea, an intention, that of the creation of the world we live in. We have within our power the same ability to use our intentions to manifest and co-create with Spirit whatever we wish to experience in our lives. When we combine our collective thoughts as one, our creative power has no limits.

The power of sound is being recognized more and more. Ultra-sound diagnoses conditions and treats imbalances. The sound of the trumpets brought down the walls of Jericho. We use the sound of our circles to amplify the intentions we express. We use the power of sound to amplify the power of our prayers. There is no religion involved here. No dogma. No philosophy. No belief even. This is pure fact. Intent and sound are both very powerful. The Circle of Sound simply combines the two and generates an energy potential for our dream: Peace on Earth, Goodwill towards All, food for all the children, harmony amongst all beings.
